Profile

Brigitte Zanini is an RRP trained as a Registered Nurse. After graduating in 1971, Brigitte worked in several Toronto area hospitals, specializing in labour and delivery and emergency care, and served many years as an operating room nurse at the East General and Sunnybrook hopsitals. Her varied experience as a trauma nurse lends itself well to rehabilitation. Brigitte began her career as a rehabilitation professional 23 years ago, initially working with a private rehabilitation company, and then developing her own company, INTEGRITY Rehabilitation & Occupational Health Inc., 20 years ago. She has volunteered her efforts for numerous oranizations, including the Kidney Foundation, and as a Director and Treasurer for the Head Injury Association of Waterloo-Wellington. It is Brigitte's belief that case management should be conducted with a sense of humour, as this leads to rapid recovery and the return to a meaningful lifestyle, even respecting the worst of injuries, as psychological sequelae most often accompanies any disability. Her enjoyment assisting clients in their rehabilitation is reflected in their willingness to participate in rehabilitation, which ultimately leads to early recovery.
