Qualifications. For the record, I am licensed to practice clinical psychology in the province of Ontario since 1992 (# 2520), and in the province of Quebec since 1981. I am a member of the Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Assessment, CAPDA, and the Canadian registry of psychologists, CHRSPP. I obtained a Ph.D. in 1974, and have been a professor of psychology (at York University, Glendon College), since 1976 (tenured; associate since 1981). In addition, I have been in private practice since 1992, for rehabilitation work and family/individual counselling. In my practice, I offer consultation services to clients of medical-related clinics, health management companies, insurance companies, legal practices, the WSIB, etc. I have written two books called: (1) Causality of Psychological Injury: Presenting Evidence in Court. New York: Springer, where I am senior co-author (2007), and (2) Psychological Knowledge in Court: Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Pain, and Traumatic Brain Injury, New York: Springer, where I am senior co-editor, and where I wrote several chapters (2006). I am founding editor of the journal, Psychological Injury and Law, also with Springer, due in 2008. I have been named an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Child and Adolescent Trauma. York University has awarded me a faculty award for outstanding research, based on the books and journal indicated.
