Megan Wood Pagonis, M.Sc. SLP(C) reg. CASLPO, has been practising as a registered and certified speech-language pathologist since 2006. She has extensive experience working within the mandate of both the CCAC, as well as within FSCO guidelines for MVA injuries. Her caseload primarily includes clients with acquired brain injuries (from MVA/TBI, stroke and other), neurogenic disorders (e.g. ALS, Parkinson’s, dementia/Alzheimer’s), and head and neck cancer. She also is an Individual Authorizer (IA) for the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) for communication devices and software – this includes extensive experience working with non-verbal clients to develop communication systems, both high and low tech.
Megan has obtained numerous continuing education credits, including those recommended by the Ontario Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (OSLA) for work with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). During her years of experience she has been active in treating clients under FSCO guidelines, as well as performed Independent Evaluations (IE’s).
Megan is currently the Clinical Manager for Adult and ABI practice at the Speech Clinic. She is actively involved with developing programs and protocols for working with clients with traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, and swallowing.
