Nicole Weishar started her education at the University of Waterloo where she completed her undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science in Honours Kinesiology. Nicole has an extensive background and keen interest in sports, including participation in competitive fast pitch and various non-competitive sports. Combining her interests with her solid foundation of human kinetics, Nicole decided to further her knowledge by setting a goal of becoming a physiotherapist. In 2010 she completed her goal and graduated from Queen's University with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Since then Nicole has spent her time practicing in a busy clinic in Kitchener, Ontario. Nicole's constant journey to pursue the best possible evidence-based care for her patient drives her to continue her education in manual therapy, acupuncture, and various orthopaedic courses. As a result of her drive she has become an excellent physiotherapist and to date has completed several post graduate courses including level 1 Manual Therapy, McKenzie MDT Part A- Lumbar Spine, and Level 1 Acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. She is a current member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and its Orthopaedic Division. Nicole's treatment philosophy includes a focus on patient goals and helping them achieve their highest health potential through an approach which includes hands on patient centered care along with active physiotherapy techniques. She is excited to be a part of the Health Centre of Milton's team and we are thrilled to welcome her!
