Profile

I am a Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in Ontario, in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. I am also a member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario. I graduated from nursing in 1971. My practice for the past 15 years in the area of rehabilitation nursing has been diverse, including assessments and medical management/case management services. The population that I have been involved with includes patients with orthopedic trauma, multi-system trauma, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury and psychosocial rehabilitation. I am qualified to complete file reviews, future care cost analyses, return to work/community integration programs and labor market re-entry. My experience has also included disability management for employers. I completed the Legal Nurse Consultant program in December 2007. My education is ongoing with multiple seminars, conferences and workshops annually. I have consistent exposure to the education offered through the Ontario Brain Injury Association and their colleagues throughout the years, completing Level, I, Level II, Level III and Pediatrics. Most recently I have obtained Certification to complete Professional Goal Attainment Program (PGAP).
