Dr. Ali Uzunoz received his Ph.D. degree from the Psychology Department of Western Michigan University in 1979. Upon completion of his doctorate training he taught psychology for 14 years at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey. In 1991 he received a Fulbright scholarship and worked in the Psychology Department of West Virginia University as a visiting professor. He was Clinical Director and Behavioral Psychologist at the Centre for Behavioral Rehabilitation of the Acquired Brain Injury Program of Hamilton Health Sciences for more than 13 years. In addition to his independent practice, he is also a part time Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences of McMaster University. Additionally, he is an Adjunct Professor at the Behaviour Analysis Program of Brock University. Dr. Uzunoz is interested in the application of contextual and acceptance-based treatment approaches for the alleviation of psychological suffering of individuals, couples and families.
