Nancy has been a certified Athletic Therapist since 1999 having graduated from the Sheridan College Sports Injury Management Program. In 2005, Nancy completed a five year program at the Canadian College of Osteopathy. In 2008, Nancy completed her Osteopathic thesis to earn her Diploma in Osteopathy Manual Practice (D.O.M.P.). Nancy’s thesis focused on the impact of osteopathic treatment on balance. Nancy regularly attends new courses and seminars. In the fall of 2013 she attended a course focusing on palpation during Manual Osteopathic Treatment. Past courses include Osteopathic Treatment of Concussions, Philosophies Related to Osteopathic Treatment, and Ligamentous Articular Strain. Nancy has completed 3 Osteopathic Endocranial Spasm Courses learning to address both Traumatic and Emotional imprints left on a person that can be hindering their health. Other course training include sessions with Colin Dove DO(UK), and Dr. Conrad Speece DO(US). She has also completed Gray Cook’s Functional Movement Assessment Course. Nancy serves on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (OAO). As an Athletic Therapist, Nancy has attended competitions ranging from the recreational level to the international stage. She was the Athletic Therapist for the McMaster Men’s Varsity Soccer team for 10 seasons and was the Head Therapist for the Burlington Barracudas, a team formerly in the CWHL. Nancy is active with the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association (CATA) and is currently serving as the Administrative Manager for the CBoCAT and on the CATA Ethics Committee.
