Wendy has over 30 years of experience treating babies, children, and adults with neurological disorders. This includes clients with stroke, cerebral palsy, brain injury, Down syndrome, and developmental delay. Wendy has both Advanced Paediatric NDT/Bobath and Advanced Adult Bobath training and is a certified examiner of the Brazelton Neonatal Behavioural Assessment Scale (for infants). She has taken courses in a variety of treatment techniques including Kinesiotaping, Myofascial Release and Constraint Induced Movement Therapy, and in specialty areas such as sensory processing, vision and movement, and hand rehabilitation. She has also taken specific training to treat Torticollis in infants and children, and more recently she has completed the modules of NVPT training with the Padula Institute of Vision. Wendy’s special interests include working with children and adults with stroke and brain injuries. She provides physiotherapy consultation to many programs for clients with special needs through the City of Ottawa Recreation Special Needs branch. She has also worked at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario and at the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Center.
