Dr. Ruttan obtained an H.BSc. in Behavioural Neuroscience from Laurentian University (1989), an M.A. in Psychobiology/Clinical Neuropsychology from The University of Western Ontario in 1991 and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from York University in 1998 with research in the area of depression and neuropsychological functioning following mild traumatic brain injury. Dr. Ruttan has been a part-time staff neuropsychologist at Toronto Rehab/University Health Network since 2002, initially working on the inpatient acquired brain injury (ABI) unit and now working exclusively with an outpatient ABI population. Dr. Ruttan also serves as Practice Leader for Psychology at TRI/UHN. She has maintained a part-time private neuropsychological and psychological practice for the past 13 years accepting insurer, medico-legal and community referrals.
