Profile:
I am a compassionate therapist specializing in relationships and communication, drug and alcohol use, and challenging thought patterns. During our initial sessions we will look closely at areas of your life where you are seeking change. We will work on understanding where your thoughts may have developed, and implement skills and practice how to integrate new ways of being into your life.
I have the unique ability to empower clients I work with to recognize their inherent value as human beings. Collaborating closely with my clients, we explore transformative ways of living with more ease and compassion, both for oneself and others. Together, we will delve into understanding how your thoughts create your feelings, which influence your actions and behaviors. By exploring and integrating different ways of thinking, we can create profound change in your life. Using these tools, I can also support you to develop communication skills to better express your unique needs and navigate challenging interpersonal relationships.
I use a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive approach to my practice, blending various modalities tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. My expertise lies in supporting people through life changes, burnout, drug and alcohol use, mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, and integrating new thought patterns for positive change.
I have over 12 years in working with clients to support them to meet their unique needs. I’m formally trained in using dialectical behaviour therapy, trauma processing, narrative therapy and cognitive behaviour therapy. I am committed to ongoing learning to meet your unique needs.
