Profile:
As a therapist, I am the trained guide through the often overwhelming terrain of feelings. I create a safe space for you to feel the fullness of your life and make sense of your experience. As you begin to connect with feelings you have been holding, they start to release and life starts to shift from the inside out. As you start to feel differently within your own being everything around you starts to shift. I support this shifting by teaching simple tools to retrain your brain and refocus your attention on the things in life that bring you joy and passion. The irony is when we start to feel our life, despite how deeply painful it may be, our joy begins to return as well, and our passion for life. Passion is something I believe we are all born with, that never dies, just gets buried with all the other difficult feelings, that no one ever really taught us how to handle. Once you begin to understand yourself and your feelings and get your feelings working for you, rather than against you, passion comes alive and life becomes exciting and adventurous again.” I have over a decade of training and experience. I have been in private practice in Guelph for over ten years. I have devoted specific attention to work with attachment, trauma and grief. I have my Master's degree in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University in Boston, Mass. and a four year Diploma in Relational Psychotherapy from the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy, where I learned a contemporary psychoanalytic approach to therapy. I am a clinical member of the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists.
