Profile:
As a regulated health professional that has been practicing as a Chiropractor since graduating Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1999, I have dedicated my career and my life to rehabilitation and promoting wellness for a lifetime. I am a member in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, the Ontario and Canadian Chiropractic Associations, the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association, and the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. As a graduate of York University’s Rehabilitation Counselling Program Honours B.A.- Psychology, I bring a wide range of expertise in the area of disability management and industrial rehabilitation including absenteeism, vocational assessment and counselling, disability studies (diagnosis and prognosis), employee assistance programming: human resources, case management, future cost of care (life care planning), health promotion, conflict resolution and life skills coaching. My experience exceeds my credentials and encompasses all sectors i.e. clinical, human resources in the corporate sector, private practice, non-profit public practice, insurance and educational organizations. I am certified as a Medical Acupuncturist (Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute) and qualified to conduct catastrophic impairment ratings (American Forensic Board). My dedication to rehabilitation and wellness is continuous and ever-evolving and I am currently a Fellow candidate of the College of Chiropractic Rehabilitation Sciences of Canada (FCCRS (C)). I have completed more than 100 hours of post-graduate courses each year since graduating as a Chiropractor and successfully completed the Independent Chiropractic Evaluator course in 2007. I work fulltime in my own chiropractic rehabilitation clinic with other regulated health professionals to treat simple and complex traumatic injuries. I use a multi-dimensional clinical model, emphasizing an active and psycho-educational clinical approach. This is consistent with the post-graduate program in Chiropractic Rehabilitation and involves regular outcome assessments and the monitoring of resumption of functional activities. It is my objective to extend my expertise and interest beyond the scope of clinical practice by serving the greater community in which I live, in a valuable way while performing the work that I truly enjoy.
