Profile

Kathy completed her Masters in Science Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2003. Prior to joining Balance West, she worked in both the public and private sectors with neurological and orthopaedic clients. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings including the Lyndhurst, Rumsey and University Centres at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, as well as Royal Victorial Day Hospital in Barrie. Her focus and passion has been with clients with stroke, spinal cord injury and brain injury and she has enhanced her post-graduate training through courses in the Bobath concept, certification through the Acupuncture of Canada Foundation Institute, manual therapy and therapeutic taping. Kathy has also supported continued education and leadership training by acting as a clinical instructor, small group facilitator, heading professional development initiatives and acting as professional practice leader.
