Dennis Milenov

Acupuncturist, Chiropractor
Profile

Dr. Milenov graduated from York University in 1997 with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Science and a certificate in Fitness Assessment and Exercise Counselling. After being inspired by his own experience with chiropractic care, he attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College for four years, receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic designation in 2001. Dr. Milenov also completed his certification in Acupuncture, which allows him to use a variety of healing techniques to benefit his patients. Dr. Milenov has operated a family practice in Uxbridge since 2001. Working with patients from pain relief to wellness, he enjoys treating patients of all ages and helping people live healthier lives. “Many people first seek a chiropractor because they are in pain, whether it be low back pain, headaches, or pain following a car accident or sports injury”, explains Dr. Milenov. “Unlike drugs which just mask the problem, we work to find the source of the injury and provide treatment that gets great results.” His initial interest in chiropractic stemmed from his involvement in competitive sports from a young age. “My chiropractor helped relieve my chronic aches and pains. Not only did my sports injuries clear up, my general health improved dramatically as well. My chiropractor became part of my health care team.” He credits chiropractic care as a major part of his successful athletic career as a four time OUA All-Star with the York University Water Polo Team. He also spent time with the National Team representing Canada at several international competitions. He still competes in Masters swimming and is a nationally ranked swimmer for his age group. He also competes in triathlon and various cycling events. Dr. Milenov has been an active participant in the Uxbridge community and has been involved with several organizations that assist local youth. He has been a volunteer coach for the Uxbridge Secondary School Swim Team and the Uxbridge Flyers Track & Field Club. He has also volunteered with the Big Brothers of Durham Region In-School Mentoring Program. Dr. Milenov lives in Uxbridge with his wife, Megan, son, Liam and daughter, Ava. His leisure pursuits include enjoying time with his family, travelling, and outdoor activities. “More and more people are looking for more natural, non-invasive ways of getting well and staying well – creating health in their lives”, states Dr. Milenov. “A healthy spine and nervous system working at its very best along with other healthy lifestyle choices can give you the vibrant health you deserve.” Call Dr. Milenov today for a free consultation to discuss your health issues, or email him anytime at dmilenov@hotmail.com.
