I have been in helping ministry since the early nineties, from my time studying theology. My counselling formation began through mentoring with psychiatrist George Freemesser. Other experience includes high school chaplaincy, community counselling, university counselling, bereavement counselling, and Hospice client care. My master of counselling degree provided the formal training to round out my other experiences. I employ an integrative approach to counselling, focusing on client strengths and therapeutic rapport. I continue to increase my knowledge and skill through workshops and am currently in coursework for addictions counselling. I am a clinical counsellor at Community Counselling and Resource Centre in Peterborough, ON. I am also in private practice.
