Lorrinda Mabee is a registered occupational therapist with the College of Occupational Therapy of Ontario. Ms. Mabee graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1989. She continues to be a mentor for the OT students in the Masters of Occupational Therapy program at Western. She started Forest City Occupational Therapy in 1992. Forest City Occupational Therapy is an approved rehabilitation facility for the Ministry of Transportation’s Driver Assessment Program. Ms. Mabee has a special interest in the assessment and treatment of persons with anxiety disorders around driving. Ms. Mabee is also a member of ADED and NMEDA and co-vice president for the Ont. chapter. Ms.Mabee is a current member on the board of directors for the London and areas brain injury association. Ms. Mabee has taken numerous courses on cognitive perceptual assessment and training as well as driving assessments and treatment of anxiety and phobias specifically related to driving. Ms. Mabee also has extensive experience in assessment and treatment of catastrophic injuries such as brain injuries, spinal cord and complex orthopedic issues. She is familiar with the acute needs as well as longer term rehab and the needs to improve quality of life and move clients forward.
