Elaine Lowe is a community based clinical social worker and psychotherapist who provides individual, family and group counseling and psychotherapy to people who are living with the effects of brain, spinal cord and complex orthopedic injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Elaine is a registered therapist with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (801458) and a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (003874) and a member of The Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (2993-G). Elaine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University and a Master of Education degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Toronto. Treatment occurs in the home, community or remotely and includes treatment for adjustment, anger, grief, anxiety, pain, stress and depression. Elaine has extensive experience dealing with diversity, gender concerns, addiction and chronic pain. She uses a variety of treatment modalities to ensure treatment is appropriate and maximizes potential. Elaine has worked in both the non profit and for profit sectors of brain injury rehabilitation, conducting psycho social assessments and providing ongoing treatment and return to work programs. Elaine has also provided case management services to assist with the extensive discharge planning process and to meet the comprehensive needs of trauma patients.

Elaine is currently the only Social Worker/Psychotherapist authorized by the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators to perform Medical/Legal assessments in Ontario.
