Ms. Liffshiz is a qualified occupational therapist, registered with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem with a Bachelor in Occupational Therapy and from Haifa University with a Masters Degree in sociology of the family. For the last 24 years she has worked in psychiatric, neurological and physical rehabilitation and has expertise in the assessment and treatment of neurological conditions, traumatic injuries, and cognitive impairments. She has a certificate in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT/Bobath) for adults and has taken post-graduate courses in manual therapy. She has participated in various workshops concerning insurance policy and litigation, including a workshop on mediation held by the University of Windsor Law School and courses in civil litigation, such as the “Law Basically Speaking” by Stitt, Feld & Handy. She has participated in various catastrophic assessment workshops and courses including the training course given by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME) for the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, 5th and 6th Editions. She has received certification through the American Board of Forensic Professionals in the 4th Edition of the AMA guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment. She is a Certified Life Care Planner. She has been qualified and accepted as an expert witness in the courts of Ontario as an Occupational Therapist and as a Certified Life Care Planner.
