I am a Masters-level Speech-Language Pathologist, having graduated from the University of Toronto in 1997 with an award for clinical excellence. I am a member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). I worked for seven years as the Speech-Language Pathologist on the Head Injury Team at St. Michael’s Hospital, assessing and treating individuals with acute traumatic brain injury. Since 2005, I have been working in private practice, assessing and treating individuals with acute or persisting effects of traumatic brain injury. As a speech-language pathologist, my role often focuses on the rehabilitation of complex cognitive-communication skills, such as those required for return-to-school and return-to-work. The majority of my clients are injured from motor vehicle collisions. With regard to continuing education, I regularly attend workshops and conferences relevant to traumatic brain injury, including a recent post-graduate training course in Cognitive-Communication Disorders that is recognized by the Ontario Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
