Profile:
The founder and Director of Kim Lamont & Associates, Kim has over 20 years’ experience working with people of all ages with neurological disorders and brain injury. She graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1990. She has been accepted as an expert witness by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in the area of Occupational Therapy. Throughout the course of her career, Kim has been dedicated to continued education and has completed post-graduate continuing education in the areas of brain injury rehabilitation, neurology, ergonomics, accessibility, attendant care assessment, and traumatic brain injury. She is a certified evaluator for the administration of the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) and is a Certified Calibrated AMPS Rater (the AMPS, Assessment of Motor and Process Skills, is a standardized test of performance skills). Kim is committed to the education of others and sharing her knowledge and experience. She holds a position as Adjunct Academic Staff with the Queen’s University School of Rehabilitation Therapy. Kim is also active in providing continuing education opportunities to other Occupational Therapists and rehabilitation professionals, both as a speaker and conference organizer. Kim’s training, combined with her extensive experience and dedication to best practices, enables her to provide a comprehensive and client-centred approach to brain injury rehabilitation.
