I am a Registered Social Worker, Clinical Case Manager, and Canadian-Certified Life Care Planner working in private practice. I have over 30 years of experience in the field of neuro-rehabilitation with specific expertise in providing rehabilitation case management and life-care planning services for individuals who have sustained traumatic injuries, inclusive of acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex orthopedic injuries, polytrauma, and psychological injury.
I am certified to teach Mental Health First Aid to the general public and professionals alike, using the evidence-based curriculum developed with the Mental Health Commission of Canada/Opening Minds. I also have substantial experience and expertise in providing clinical case management services to families of children in need of support navigating and obtaining services within the developmental services system at both the provincial and federal level, including Jordan’s Principle.
I hold a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Windsor and am a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, the Ontario Association of Social Workers, and the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. At a policy and professional advocacy level, I volunteer my time as Co-Chair of the Coalition of Health Professional Associations in Auto Insurance. I also regularly donate my time and leadership to the Ontario Association of Social Workers to address problematic accident benefits issues and the impacts of these on our profession.
