Dr. Kevin S. Jones, Director of Burlington Psychological and Counselling Services, has been working in private practice since 2004. He is a licensed clinical psychologist, registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario in 2003. He has also held positions at the Chronic Pain Management Unit at Chedoke Hospital, and the Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre at St. Joseph's Healthcare in Hamilton. Dr. Jones works with adults and adolescents in the area of clinical, health and rehabilitation psychology. He has a special interest in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for depression, anxiety disorders, chronic pain, and a wide range of stress-related illnesses. He incorporates elements of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into his clinical work. He works extensively with motor-vehicle accident (MVA) survivors, as well as those who have sustained work-related injuries. Dr. Jones provides comprehensive psychological and disability assessments, medical legal evaluations, and future care analyses. He collaborates with multidisciplinary rehabilitation treatment teams.
