Profile:
Dr. Karen Hudes began her chiropractic practice in February of 2001 after receiving a Doctor of Chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinoins (formerly the National College of Chiropractic) i=on December 16, 2000. She returned to Toronto to be close to her family and began an associateship which lasted 1.5 years before moving to her current location at the European Health Care Centre at 168 Sheppard Ave. West in Toronto. She has been in her private solo practice since this time and enjoys reaching out to the community to do Volunteer work in the area such as lunch and learn seminars for businesses or being the team doctor for races such as the Subaru Adventure Challenge. Dr. Karen Hudes is a member in good standing of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, Ontario Chiropractic Association and the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. She serves on the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board (CCEB) as an Examiner and a member of the ACL committee. This means that she is involved in both of the written and practical examinations that are conducted to determine if a chiropractor should be licensed in Canada. She has been a part of the CCEB for over 6 years. In her practice, Dr. Hudes uses a variety of tools to treat her patients including Diversified and Activator techniques, deep tissue techniques, scar tissue techniques, taping techniques and laser therapy. Dr. Hudes is very interested in treating every patient from a whole body perspective and varies each treatment to suit the individual’s needs. Currently Dr. Hudes has just completed the 3 year in class seminar portion of a fellowship in rehabilitation and enjoys providing appropriate patients with this form of therapy. The type of patients she treats ranges from wellness care to emergency pain relief care, including people who have been involved in car accidents or while at work. In case you are wondering, the youngest patient she has ever treated was 2 weeks old and the oldest was 99 years. She is trained in ergonomics and is able to assist in setting up or modifying a work station for her patients and has been known to make the odd “office call” in order to do so for her patients. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call and speak to Dr. Hudes – she will always find a moment for you!
