I am a certified Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario and I am in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education (Faculty now known as Kinesiology) with a minor in Psychology. I have completed the required examination to obtain certification as a Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) and completed the requirements for obtaining the designation of a Registered Rehabilitation Professional. I have twenty-six years of experience as a Registered Nurse with twenty of those as a Rehabilitation Case Manager/Consultant. I have worked with hundreds of clients with injuries ranging from soft tissue to catastrophic (including brain injuries, amputations, spinal cord injuries, etc.) and provided pro-active rehabilitation case management to an improved quality of life and/or return them to gainful employment. I have completed numerous courses in the area of rehabilitation, including traumatic brain injury, case management, vocational assessment, chronic pain, the application/management of rehabilitation concepts, the pathophysiology of injuries and musculoskeletal concepts, as well as life care planning.
