Kelly Gillis is a Registered Nurse with 35 years of experience who specializes in the delivery of case management services for clients with complex and catastrophic injuries. Ms. Gillis has worked with a range of client populations who have experienced severe physical and psychological injuries or illnesses, including brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation and multiple injuries and diagnoses. Prior to joining Rehab First, Ms. Gillis was a nurse at a long-term care facility and provided nursing care and case management services for patients with medical-surgical, palliative and geriatric needs, as well as those with neurological impairment and psychiatric neurobehavioral difficulties. She has managed and supervised health care professionals from both nursing and other health care disciplines and has clinical experience in community settings, hospitals and a psychiatric facility. Ms. Gillis earned her nursing diploma from Lambton College, where she was on the Dean’s Honours List for three consecutive years, her Level I and Level II Palliative Care Certification from the University of Western Ontario, and her Certificate in Case Management from McMaster University. She was previously a member of the National Case Management Network (NCMN) and is a member of RNAO. In addition to providing case management to clients at Rehab First, she is the Director of Rehabilitation Services, she directly manages a multidisciplinary treatment team and supervises a team of Regional Managers who also manage and provide multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment services to clients throughout Southwestern Ontario.
