My experience includes 13 years working in the Acquired Brain Injury Program at Chedoke Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. My role as Psychometrist and Cognitive Therapist involved working one-to-one with all levels and ages of ABI patients within the hospital and in the community. I also have training and experience with Vocational Interest Assessment and Exploration, Return to Work Programs and Job Skills Coaching. I have been working privately as a Rehabilitation Therapist and Consultant throughout Western Ontario since 1995. To date I have worked with over 500 clients. My specialty is Cognitive Therapy. I have 6 associates, with various educational and training backgrounds – including behaviour therapy and life and social skills training. Each have a minimum of 5 years experience and travel to assist clients in their homes and communities. We also have 2 Teachers certified in Special Needs and 2 Educational Assistants who tutor all ages. We work together with the client's family and associated rehabilitation, health care and educational professionals, when ever required. I have been integrated with the Health Claims for Auto Insurance system since 2008 and am able to expedite the forms for submission of treatment plans and appropriate billing with ease.
