Profile:
Susan has a Master of Social Work Degree and is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers, the Ontario Association of Social Workers, the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science, and the International Network of Social Work Acquired Brain Injury (INSWABI).
Susan’s experience in both clinical and managerial positions in public healthcare settings helped her realize her true passion of working with clients one-on-one. She
views her relationship with her clients as a partnership where they work together to overcome challenges and build a new path towards their desired future. Susan’s ability to quickly establish rapport with her clients and to maintain a strong professional relationship with them throughout their time together, ensures that her clients feel heard and supported as they strive to achieve their goals. Susan helps individuals to identify what they value most in life and to build a new path forward which brings them closer to a life which is most meaningful for them.
The most enjoyable part of Susan’s job is witnessing the moment that someone truly “gets” what they have been working on or, after much work, achieves their goal.
Outside of work, Susan enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Susan is available for both in-person counselling at the Brainworks office, and virtual counselling.
