• Provide a variety of assessment and treatment services for clients who have sustained trauma, brain injuries, complex orthopaedic injuries, mental health and neurological conditions, as well as chronic pain.
• Skilled in completing comprehensive in-home assessments, including forms related to the SABS legislation (Form 1, OCF 18, OCF 3) and composing detailed reports.
• Utilize clinical judgment to determine each client’s rehabilitation potential and develop strategies to address present and future obstacles to recovery.
• Administer standardized and non-standardized assessments including cognitive assessments.
• Develop creative, culturally sensitive, and client-centered intervention plans.
• Work closely with the rehabilitation and legal team for each client
• Supervise and work in collaboration with rehabilitation support workers (RSW).
• Recommend and advocate on behalf of clients for assistive devices, home modifications, referrals to other health care professionals, and/or other programs or services.
• Determine necessity of continued occupational therapy intervention upon reassessment.
Regulated Health Care professional in good standing.
