I graduated from King’s College Hospital (Normanby College of Physiotherapy), London, UK, in 1985. I began to develop my clinical skills in adult neurological rehabilitation in Oxford, UK, and then, more specifically in spinal cord injury rehabilitation, at Britain's National Spinal Injuries Centre, Stoke Mandeville Hospital. I came to Canada in 1990 and continued to work in both in and out patient spinal cord injury rehabilitation at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute (Lyndhurst site) until 2005. Since then I have been working in private practice in the community providing in-home and clinic-based physiotherapy services to clients with neurological impairments and complex orthopedic injuries. I have been a clinical tutor for physiotherapy students and have presented at professional conferences, seminars and inservices. My post-graduate training has included Carr and Sheppard, NDT and Bobath and I continue to strive to expand my knowledge and to refine my clinical skills.
