Profile:
For over 20 years, Caissie Scoular has facilitated the recovery of individuals with catastrophic injuries through close working relationships with lawyers, insurers, physicians, and therapists. We rely on experience and education to ensure thorough, evidence-based rehabilitation and Life Care Plans that identify the needs of individuals with complex injuries. Services are provided throughout Eastern Ontario, however we are available to travel outside of that catchment for Life Care Plans including to Quebec.
Stephanie Caissie Scoular holds a Master’s degree in psychology (biopsychology) from UBC and an Honours Psychology degree from McGill University. She has worked as a rehabilitation consultant/case manager since 2004. In this role, she assesses rehabilitation needs and coordinates a multidisciplinary team of health professionals with the goal of promoting functional recovery for those with severe and complex injuries including spinal cord injuries, amputations, moderate-severe brain injuries, and chronic/persistent conditions such as chronic pain, mental health disorders, and post-concussion syndrome. In 2009, she completed her Life Care Planning training through the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University in Ottawa.
Stephanie Caissie Scoular’s strong research background leads her to place a high value on thinking critically and objectively, to promote evidence based and cost-effective rehabilitation. She also has highly developed leadership skills given her role in supervising a team of rehabilitation professionals. She maintains active membership in the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) and regularly participates in ongoing continuing education pertaining to the field of life care planning and rehabilitation.
