Aaron Palmer is an Occupational Therapist registered with the College of Occupational Therapists (COTO), qualified to work in Ontario. He graduated with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from D’Youville University (formerly D’Youville College). Before this, he received a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science from Concordia University Ann Arbor. He is a member in good standing with COTO; and a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT).

Aaron works in private practice, conducting assessments and providing treatment (Occupational Therapy and Case Management) for individuals who have sustained complex and serious injuries (e.g., orthopedic, spinal cord, and traumatic brain injuries); as well as physical, cognitive and/or emotional impairments because of injury/illness. His work extends to children, teenagers, adults, and seniors. He enjoys working from a client-centered perspective and supporting people by helping them to develop their own strengths, focus on their own values and priorities, and supporting meaningful lives. He also has experience providing case management services for individuals who have sustained catastrophic impairments.

Aaron regularly attends courses, seminars, and conferences to update his skills and expertise in assessment, rehabilitation, and therapeutic intervention. He completed the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators (CSME) | Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Assessment (CAPDA) accreditation and certification in Catastrophic Impairment Evaluation (C-CAT) course; followed by successful completion of the C-CAT Functional Observer (FO) examination. He also completed the Canadian Certified Life Care Planner (CCLCP) training through the Institute of Rehabilitation Education and Training (IRET) and obtained the CCLCP credential through the International Commission on Health Care Certification (ICHCC).
