Desjardine Rehabilitation was founded by Lori Desjardine, Occupational Therapist, in Septemeber 2013. Lori completed her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at the University of Western Ontario, graduating with Honors in 2003. She then continued her academic journey and completed her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto, where she graduated with honors in 2005. Lori has been working in the field of Neurology and Complex Injuries for the past 9 years. She has worked within a variety of settings including: hospitals, nursing homes, retirements homes, out-patient facilities, community and private practice settings. Lori has been fortunate to work with many expert clinicians over the past number of years and received additional training in cognitive behavioral therapy, myofascial release, cognitive perceptual training, MPS therapy, cognitive remediation, universal design and other treatment approaches. She has developed a wealth of skills related to the assessment and treatment of complex and/or neurological conditions and utilizes a “tailor-made” individualized approach to meet the needs of her client’s. Lori maintains good standing with the College of Occupational Therapist of Ontario (COTO) and holds full professional membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapist of Ontario (CAOT). Lori is very passionate about her work and takes great pride in helping others regain their independence and improve their quality of life. She strongly believes in empowering her client’s to help them achieve success.
