Tazmeen Lalani is a certified Occupational Therapist qualified to practice in the province of Ontario and is in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Ms. Lalani has 19 years of experience in private practice with a special focus and interest on the assessment and treatment of individuals with mild-severe acquired brain injury, mental health and multi-trauma. She assesses/treats children age 2 and up and adults including geriatric. She is a former DAC assessor and currently performs complex assessments addressing catastrophic, attendant care needs (Form 1), housing modifications and determination of treatment needs. Ms. Lalani has participated in various notable courses in the area of neuro-rehabilitation. Recently, she acquired Level 1 of the Sensory Integration certification offered through the University of Southern California. Ms. Lalani currently holds multi-year volunteer appointments to two formal advisory committees, one of which she is Chair in the York Region District School Board (YRDSB) supporting student achievement and well-being. She recently co-chaired with staff the planning of the first parent symposium in YRDSB titled Parent Voice Matters with workshop themes including special needs, mental health and inclusivity. Tazmeen is a dedicated therapist with effective communication and team collaboration skills. Her ability to consider all stakeholders to meet client needs is derived from years of practising within a variety of systems.
