Kelly Gillis is a Registered Nurse of 23 years and a Clinical Practice Leader who specializes in the delivery of case management, vocational, educational and social rehabilitation services for clients with complex and catastrophic injuries. Kelly has worked with a range of client populations including those who have suffered from brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, multiple and aggravated injuries, amputations as well as psychological and psychosocial impairments. Kelly is also a member of the National Case Management Network (NCMN). Prior to joining Rehab First, Kelly was the charge nurse at Extendicare Nursing Home providing nursing care and case management services for medical-surgical, neurological impairment, palliative, geriatric, and psychiatric patients with neurobehavioral difficulties. She also acted in a supervisory capacity. Kelly has further clinical experience in both a community-setting and within a psychiatric facility. Kelly earned her nursing diploma from Lambton College, where she was on the Dean’s Honours List for three consecutive years, University of Western Ontario, where she earned her LeveI 1 and Level 2 Palliative Care certification and McMaster University where she earned her Certification in Case Management. In addition to providing case management services, Ms. Gillis is a clinical practice leader at Rehab First Inc. and manages a team of registered nurses, social workers and counsellors.
