I am an Occupational Therapist, co-founder, and managing director since 1987 of Neuro-Rehab Services Inc. I graduated with a diploma in Occupational Therapy from the University of Manitoba in 1973, and in 1982 received my Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto. As a member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, I am qualified to practice in Canada. In 1980, I obtained my certification in Neurodevelopmental Therapy. I have worked with a variety of populations including medical, orthopedic, chronic pain, and neurological, and have specialized in the assessment and treatment of individuals with acquired brain damage since 1974, for 15 years in a hospital-based rehabilitation setting, and since 1985 in home, school, workplace and community settings. I have lectured on various topics related to brain injury rehabilitation to occupational and physical therapy students at the University of Toronto and Queens University, and presented at local and national brain injury conferences and symposia. In January 2011, I achieved certification through the International Commission on Health Care Certification, as a Canadian Life Care Planner.
