Allan Walton is a psychotherapist with 30 years experience in assessing and treating chronic pain, mild to moderate brain injury and emotional response following trauma. He is an experienced assessor of family impact following the traumatic death or injury of a family member and has over 20 years’ experience in providing vocational assessments for individuals with disabilities. He has an Honours BA in psychology and an MA in psychology from York University and is currently a candidate in the Ph.D. program in psychology. He has provided testimony as an expert in court and at arbitrations. He was the founding president of the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Centres. He was a member of the Rehabilitation Services and Quality Project in 1995 for the Ontario Ministry of Health, The Ontario Insurance Commission (OIC) and Workers Compensation Board (WCB). He is a past board member of the Brain Injury Association of Toronto and the Alliance of Private Brain Injury Rehabilitation Providers. He has published in the areas of chronic pain and learning behaviour as well as social psychology. He is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain and the Ontario Psychological Association. He is currently Clinical Director of Fox Rehabilitation, a clinic specializing in providing psychological, neuropsychological assessment and treatment and vocational assessment services since 1998.
