Forensic/Criminal (Juvenile and Adult)/ Dangerousness/Risk of Recidivism/ Phallometric/Sexual Preference Assessments Contract with Corrections Canada- provision of assessments and treatment (individual and group). Psychoeducational Assessment: An assessment of client’s intellectual/cognitive strengths and weaknesses, educational achievement and socio-emotional functioning to address any learning difficulties and assist in making recommendations necessary for educational planning. Remedial Education: Based on the recommendations made following a psychoeducational assessment, an individualized remedial treatment plan will be put together to address the client’s specific areas of need. Remedial sessions are held weekly or bi-weekly and on an individual basis. As part of the remedial education service, the client will undergo ongoing monitoring and a re-evaluation of skills every 8-10 sessions to ensure adequate progress. Socio-Emotional Assessment: Assess and provide diagnostic clarity on various social, emotional and personality issues and provide treatment recommendations. Reports will also discuss barriers to treatment and suggestions to address those barriers. Individual and Group Therapy: Individual and group treatment to address various emotional and psychological concerns including: • Depression • Anxiety (General, Social, PTSD, Panic Attacks, Phobias, OCD) • Behavioural concerns (Aggression, anger) • Social skills and problem solving issues • Stress Management • Low self-esteem • Extreme shyness • Perfectionism • Interpersonal difficulties Vocational/Career Assessment: Assess the client’s aptitudes, interests and academic abilities, and provide appropriate vocational recommendations.
