Dr. Benn has been engaged exclusively in private practice since 2001, focusing predominantly in the area of rehabilitation psychology (physical/head injuries; assessment, treatment, and consultation; defense and plaintiff). Dr. Benn is a duly qualified Registered Psychologist (#3508), licensed to practice psychology (clinical, health, and rehabilitation qualified) in the Province of Ontario, Canada and is certified in Career and Work Counselling Assessment (George Brown College). Dr. Benn is a member of a number of professional organizations, including: the American Psychological Association, Ontario Psychological Association, London Regional Psychological Association (former executive/president), Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Assessment, Brain Injury Association of London and Region (former Board of Directors), Association for Scientific Advancement in Psychological Injury and the Law, EMDR Canada, National Center for Crisis Management, and American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. Dr. Benn is qualified to provide a variety of treatment modalities, including provision of EMDR therapy, and is certified by the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology (#05999). Dr. Benn completed a doctoral internship at London Health Sciences Center, London, Ontario, in Behavioral Medicine, has received B.A. (Hons.), M.A., and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Western Ontario, and is an Adjunct Clinical Professor with the Graduate Department of Psychology, University of Western Ontario.
