For the past 28 years I have been the owner and director of NRC Feldman and Associates Inc. where I have provided individual and family counselling, vocational rehabilitation, case management, and future care cost and needs assessment. I am the Ontario Association of Social Worker’s (OASW) auto insurance representative for social workers who work under the Insurance Act – SABS, the OASW representative with the Coalition of Regulated Health Professionals and Allied Organizations, member of the working groups with the OASW that developed guidelines for social workers who complete I.E. assessments and treatment under the SAB’s , member of the health care providers advisory committee to FSCO, and Chair of the Metro Toronto Social Work Network. Over the years I have participated in research and /or collaborated with University of Toronto and KLAERU research scientists Dr. D. Dawson and Dr. Marziali with regards to developing a therapeutic web based spousal support group. As well I was involved in the validation of NRC Feldman and Associates the “Feldman Acquired Brain Injury Return to Work Plus (FABI-RTW+)” model that guides clinicians to address work and life goals concurrently to increase the probability of successful RTW. My special interest is in helping clients and their families to develop a circle of care as they learn to cope with the affects of an ABI and to help with the adaptation to a “new norm”. I am currently working with a sex educator/therapist in developing a Sex Education series for individuals with ABI. I feel privileged to work with and learn from my clients.
