Dr. Arela Agako is a clinical psychologist and the founder of Trauma Care Psychology, a Toronto-based clinical psychology practice specializing in evidence-based assessment and treatment for trauma-related conditions. Our team provides therapy for PTSD, Complex PTSD, BPD, dissociation, and trauma-related anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. We work with adults from a wide range of cultural and racial backgrounds, refugees and newcomers, and members of the 2SLGBTQI+ community.

Our clinicians use empirically supported approaches such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other trauma-focused interventions. In addition to individual therapy, we offer comprehensive psychological assessments, couples therapy where trauma impacts relationships, and consultation to other mental health professionals for complex cases.

Our approach emphasizes culturally responsive care, safety, and collaborative treatment planning, with the goal of helping clients process traumatic experiences, reduce symptoms, and rebuild a sense of stability and connection in their lives.
