Profile:

Dr. Miller is the Director of Brookside Psychologists, a private psychology practice with office locations in Burlington and St. Catharines. She is a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist working with adults. Her primary area of practice pertains to neuropsychological assessment and treatment of traumatic brain injury. She recently served as President on the Board of the Brain Injury Association of Peel/Halton and is a member of the Ontario Brain Injury Association.

Dr. Miller also offers counselling treatment for anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and chronic pain, primarily using a cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) approach. She also provides client-centred counselling regarding identity and relationship issues, particularly gender identity related concerns. She practices within an LGBTTIQ-affirmative framework.

Dr. Miller completed her Ph.D. degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto in 2011. Since 2000, Dr. Miller has held clinical positions at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (in the Inpatient/Outpatient Psychological Assessment Service and WSIB-funded Psychological Trauma Program) and the University Health Network – Toronto Rehabilitation Institute (UHN-TRI – Traumatic Brain Injury Recovery Study). She completed her master’s and doctoral training placements at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (Neuropsychology & Aging Program), CAMH’s WSIB-funded Work, Stress, and Health Program, and St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre, Neuropsychology Consultation Service, and Behavioural Medicine).

Dr. Miller is a member of the Ontario Psychological Association, the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators, and the Ontario Rehab Alliance. She is certified in catastrophic impairment assessments (mental & behavioural) and certified in medicolegal expertise by the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators and the Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Assessment.
